OSHC
OSHC (Out of school hours care)
Willunga OSHC is located within the grounds of the Willunga Primary School. We strive to support families as we share in the care of your children outside their school day. We believe that children thrive in a safe and caring environment, where a sense of belonging and individuality is valued.
We provide a leisure based program guided by the children’s interests and ideas, using the “My Time Our Place” Framework. Our program engages children in a variety of activities that follows their interests and encourages creativity, imagination, problem solving, physical activity, and social and emotional growth.
In our service we provide a healthy breakfast and afternoon snack in accordance with our healthy eating guidelines. We believe that snack times should be treated as social occasions where educators join in and sit with the children, interact and role model good eating behaviours. Snack time preparations and procedures encourage children’s involvement. This is to provide children with opportunities and practices in learning life skills.
Family and community involvement is always welcome at our service.
A brand new purpose purpose built OSHC building was completed in 2018 including a new kitchen, learning spaces and takes advantage of the green space at the front of the School.
